LRB lead rubber bearing construction method

 Construction preparation

Check whether the specification, model and quantity of LRB lead rubber bearing meet the design requirements, and whether the appearance has defects such as damage and deformation.
Prepare tools and equipment required for installation, such as crane, jack, wrench, level gauge, etc.
Clean the top surface of the bridge pier and abutment to ensure that it is flat, clean and free of oil stain, debris, etc.

Lift the LRB lead rubber beam slowly to the installation position on the top surface of the pier and abutment with the crane. During hoisting, it shall be kept stable to avoid collision with pier and other objects.
The position and elevation of LRB lead rubber beam shall be adjusted so that the center position overlaps with the design position and the top elevation meets the design requirements. Jacks, spirit levels and other tools can be used for adjustment.
When the position and elevation of LRB lead rubber beam are adjusted, use connecting bolts to fix it with the top surface of pier and abutment firmly. The bolts shall be tightened symmetrically and uniformly to ensure uniform stress on LRB lead rubber beam.

Installation quality inspection

Use a level to measure the top elevation of LRB lead rubber beam to see if it meets the design requirements. In case of any deviation, it shall be adjusted in time.
Measure the center position of LRB lead rubber beam with total station to see if it is consistent with the design position. Any deviation shall be adjusted.
Follow-up work
When LRB lead rubber beam is installed, it shall be protected from collision, pollution, etc. It can be surrounded by protective barriers or covered with protective materials.
